The IEEE Denver Section and its Chapters organize a number of very successful programs through the year including, even during the current pandemic:

  • Monthly Dine and Learn programs 
  • IEEE specific lab tours and chapter events
  • “Build something cool” for Grade 6-12 Students 
  • Sponsorship of educational and technology programs
  • Section wide two day workshop on blockchain and transactive energy
  • GreenTech/R5 conferences with the robotics competition coming next year
  • Monthly Executive Meetings which are open to all members

We need the support of our members to continue running and grow our events each year.  Please consider volunteering your time.   You’ll get to network with a great team of people from a wide collection of companies and universities across the Denver Metro Area.

Section Officers

We are currently requesting Nominations for the following Section Officer Position(s):

  • Vice-Chair
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer

All members who are graduate students or higher grade are eligible to run for an elected office position.  Background on the officer roles can be found online along with more detailed overview material here under Volunteer Position Training.  If you are interested in getting involved with our great team in any of these roles and feel you have experience to be successful, please send your nomination including:

  • Previous IEEE Volunteer experience, training, and impacts you’d like to highlight

to  Nominations will be accepted through Monday October 3, 2022, COB Mountain Time.  Voting is planned for October / November – with the results announced by Nov. 16, 2022.

Standing Committees & Affiliate Groups

You don’t need to be a section officer to work with us to organize a tour, put on a special event, bring a workshop to the area, or mentor a student.  If you can picture it, let’s get in touch to make it happen!  Even small contributions can be a great help!
